Croft Nostalgia Weekend 6/7 August 2016

This is the first time I have attended the Nostalgia Weekend, or Croft Circuit for that matter.  Both are well worth a visit.  The weather on the Sunday was mainly dry but incredibly windy – several gents ran past me chasing stray caps and my long neglected sprinting abilities were called upon to save one small child’s cuddly toy!!

As well as a classic race meeting, the weekend also features Military and Commercial vehicles, Classic Motorbikes and aircraft.  Many of the attendees dress up in period, lending the whole affair a bit of a ‘Goodwood in the North’ feel.

Croft itself is a super little circuit with a couple of long straights and a challenging mixture of fast and slow corners.  Viewing is excellent.
