The August meeting welcomed Richard Hirst, owner of an X-Pag Cooper MG, who has occasionally visited us before. The meeting’s main programme was directed to organization of the “Dales Run” to be held at the end of the month. Paul Confirmed at that the time of the meeting, over 100 cars had been logged in to attend, boding well for an excellent overall attendance. Natter members have rallied round to help out on the day.
Entertainment for the evening was yours truly presenting a slide show of a recent five week trip to Canada, including much automotive exotica seen, including a memorable visit to the Reynolds Museum at Wetaskiwin, Alberta.
Paul advised us that we have been invited to join the MGB Resister weekend event over the weekend of 16/17 September, and several of us have already agreed to be there.
The ‘End of Season Run’ will be held on 24th September, the route presently under planning, and the next meeting, chaired by Colin in Paul’s absence will include a presentation of the new MG GS, by the new local dealer.
