Ken – Cothliff
The February meeting started the planning for the summer events, now the Committee has all been re-elected,under our long standing Natter Leader, Paul. A trip to the MG Car plant at Longbridge on 5th February was much enjoyed. Good the see the new company is protecting the old MG heritage. A visit round the Air Traffic Control Centre at Leeds Bradford Airport proved equally successful.
After the Daffodil Run, starting and finishing in the York area on Easter Sunday, our next major event is the Canada Run. This run around the World War Two Vale of York bomber airfields, operated by the Canadian Air Force has proven very popular. Entry forms now on the North Yorkshire Web-site – www.mgccyorkshire.co.uk. Booking is essential – if we are oversubscribed, we may have to limit entries!
Roll on spring – I can see crocuses and sunshine!! I think I’ll pull out ‘Little Red’ and give her a spring clean!
