At the March Natter, we were entertained by our member Keith Beningfield, who gave a talk with a DVD accompaniment about some of his hillclimbing experiences with the actor Phil Glenister who featured in the TV series ‘A Love of Cars’.
A number of awards to members were given out following the MGCC Awards Lunch held on February 23rd – Jeff and Kate Marsden for the furthest travelled to an MG Club event, Jeff Marsden for motor sport, Robin and Ann Askew received the Kenning Trophy for their contribution to the Club over the past year, and Colin Brear for his services as Chairman.
East – Jill Thornton
Many thanks to Peter Shand from the Norton Group for once again bringing and setting up his
very impressive Scalextric track to our March Natter. Competition was fierce finishing with joint
winners Peter May and Graeme Reid by one lap from Steve Moore and Ray Snowley.
At the Centre AGM myself and Christine Moore were elected onto the Yorkshire Centre Committee
along with the re-election of Ray Snowley, so the East Yorkshire Natter are well represented. If
there are any matters you wish us to bring up , please let one of us know before the next committee meeting which is on 19th May.
Hopefully the weather will be kind to us for the Wolds Way Run on Sunday 11th May.
The first evening social run is Thursday 29th May, setting off as usual from the Fire Station car park
