The inaugural lunchtime meeting of the Vale of York Natter took place at the Mason’s Arms, Hopperton on 21st April with nineteen MGs of all ages getting together in bright sunshine. The pub allocated their snug bar area for us and MGCC members came from all points of the compass, mostly in the York, Ripon, Harrogate, Leeds areas, but also Halifax south and east Yorkshire. Our Yorkshire Centre president, Alan Dakeyne supported us with his MG Magnette.
We are already thinking of a run in the area, possibly in August or September.
Although I will not be able to attend the next two meets as I will be abroad, there was sufficient enthusiasm for the lunchtime event, that there is a good chance there will be even more at the next meeting 12ish on Thursday 9th May. If you fancy coming along you’ll be most welcome.
