The August Natter was chaired by Colin Brear in the absence of Paul Croft. After thanking Paul for all his good work, we went on to the planning of the Dales Run on 30th August, and a plea for helpers, which was quickly responded to. Colin also welcomed new member, MGB owner John Bannister.
Colin reported some fifteen cars attended the Yorkshire Centre Compass Run to Castle Howard, after which a roll call of those attending the Burley in Wharfedale Festival was taken and arrangements for the meeting point. In the event some sixteen cars were there; an excellent turnout.
Mike Payne outlined the plans for his 2016 Natter trip to South West Wales. At time of writing this item fifteen cars will be going to this lovely part of the UK in early April, based around Pembroke. It was agreed due to the amount of interest the numbers would be limited to those of this Natter.
Finally the evening rounded off with a competition of “Spot the Location” with aerial photos of North Yorkshire. It’s amazing how difficult that was, with places so familiar from the ground. Well done, Colin
