Natter News

North Yorkshire

It was a busy night at the Tempest in March. There was a lot to discuss and another new member Chris Hall from Guiseley.

Mike Payne gave an extensive briefing on the club trip to South West Wales. He really has put a lot of work in to this, and we are eager to go. Because we return on the normal night of the Natter meet it was decided the April meeting would be put back a week to 21st April at 8pm. Afterwards Nick Mann produced a great quiz based on a children’s game – great fun.

There was news of a new Natter in the North Yorkshire Area. Named the “Vale of Yrok Natter” it will meet at lunchtime on the third Thursday of the Month, aimed at MGCC members in the York, Northallerton,Ripon, Harrogate area – at the Mason’s Arm, Hopperton (HG5 8NX) starting Thursday 21st April from Noon

Also not to forget the new meet for all classics, “Wednesday at the Woolly” now established on the second Wednesday of each month, commencing on April 13th at 4.00 to 4.30pm. The location is the Woolpack Inn at Esholt near Shipley – BD17 7QZ. The village and pub is famous for being the original location for the “Emmerdale” ITV ‘soap’ series, and has an excellent menu.

Now I’m off to take the Midget out for its first run of the year.
