North – Ken Cothliff

Good attendance at the Tempest Arms this month. Matters were taken up with plans for 2017. The “End of Season Run” raised £300 for the Alzheimers Society.

Ken Cothliff was thanked for the planning of our trip to Liverpool. 32 of us went, and the trip included a guided tour of Gt. George’s Hall. This neo-classic building in the city centre was the highlight of the trip, which also included the Tudor era Speke Hall.

A group of members went to the new Hobby and Toy Company in Hipperholme for an open evening. Plans for 2017 include a visit to Rolls Royce in Barnoldwick.

The members decided to re-run a production batch of our popular MG Bags, changing the colour to green this time – these have been a good earner for our group, and will be sold again at runs throughout the year. Thanks to Mike Payne for organizing them again.

Christmas Dinner will be at the Tempest on 14 January 2017, replacing the December Natter meeting.

Seasons Greeting to all MGCC Members from all in North Yorkshire.
