Roger Goode, a member of both MGCC and PCGB writes: Members of MG Car Club are invited by the Yorkshire region of Porsche Club GB to join them on their first North West 100 run on 4th June, starting and finishing at The Bay Horse, Snaygill on the outskirts of Skipton. The 100 mile run is based on a route previously used by MG Car Club for an End of Season Run and PCGB are grateful to Paul Croft and MGCC for allowing this. The format of the run will be similar to the popular touring runs organised by MGCC Yorkshire. This is a touring run and there is no competitive or timed element. Drivers are expected to drive at touring speeds, stop where they wish and enjoy the scenery. A road book will be issued detailing the route and suggesting suitable places to eat and toilets. There is no one place to stop for lunch as there is nowhere capable of accommodating everyone. Crews are welcome to picnic if they prefer. Any MG, Porsche, classic or sports car is eligible for the run and will be welcome. This is a FREE TO ENTER event. All you have to do to enter is to email Roger at octagonarian@gmail.com Please provide: The names of the driver and navigator The make, model and year of manufacture of the car The registration of the car These details will be published in the road book for the interest of other participants and to encourage interaction. If you do not want your details to be shown please say so. I look forward to receiving your entry as soon as possible. Entries made after 28 May may be too late for inclusion in the road book. Dependant on the number of entries received by 28 May, tea, coffee and bacon sandwiches may be available at the start at The Bay Horse. Their excellent fare will be available at the end of the run and I hope some people will dine with us. Whilst the run is free I’m afraid food and drink will have to be paid for! Kind regards Roger Goode On behalf of Porsche Club GB R7
