Mg’s were left at home as members boarded a Narrowboat for a day’s sailing along the River Calder then taking to the Calder and Hebble Navigational canal. There was no shortage of volunteers to operate the twelve lock gates that we encountered throughout the day. Taking the tiller was also an option the most memorable moment being when Geoffrey Wilson took charge and we slalomed along the canal. Thanks’ to Mick Thorpe for organizing the day and his wife Judith for providing an excellent lunch.

An event we had thought would be challenging on the 24th September was the MGF London Bridges and Tunnels a Saturday night run passing all the iconic sites in one of the busiest cities in the world and it didn’t disappoint
