North Yorkshire – Ken Cothliff

Something very different for the September meeting. Paul Croft was away in ‘foreign parts’ so Colin Brear took over, and arranged for the new local MG Dealer, “Stanley Cars” to bring the new MG GS and an MG3 to the meeting. They were well received, and the MD. Tony Stanley suggested possible support for our local events.

15 cars from the Natter supported the Burley Classic Car Show at the end of August, though the weather was a little indifferent. The weekend after was the Dales Run, our major event of the year, and all members rallied around Paul to help run the event. Weather was good and there an excellent attendance at the start, at the Bay Horse in Skipton. Over £1000 was raised for our charities.

By the time this is read, we will have been at the MGB Register weekend event in North Yorkshire, and on our “End of Season Run” – for more reports on this column see next month
