Sunday 14th October The MG Car Club Tyne-Tees Centre invite you to enter a very special Autumn Leaves Runon 2018. This is a full day event starting at the elegant Macdonald Linden Hall Golf and Country Club, Longhorsley, in Northumberland, for sign on and breakfast options. Here you will also collect your comprehensive souvenir route book, and rally plaque bearing your entry number.
The 55 mile route aims to showcase the splendour of Northumberland in autumn, and takes us to our final destination, that being Alnwick Castle, the second largest inhabited castle in England. Here our cars will have the rare permission to be driven inside the castle walls to be on display to the public, whilst a three course Sunday Lunch will be served to us in the magnificent Guest Hall.
The lunch menu options are attached, and we will ask you to make your choices closer to the event.
A guest judge will choose the MG car to be awarded the Autumn Leaves Trophy and other awards will be presented, before we head out to explore the castle exhibitions, museums, collections and also the magnificent State Rooms, before saying our goodbyes at 5:30pm.
Entries for this very unique event, are based on a car and two people. It is open to all MG cars from 1924 to current models, and all are equally welcome to enter. We are an inclusive club, and this event is no different in that respect.
If you would like to enter, please complete the attached on-line entry form and make either a BACS payment or cheque as per the form. The Autumn Leaves entry form will appear in the June issue of Safety Fast! and will reach all UK members in the next few days, so as we know a number of people have already expressed a keen interest to take part, this email is sent to you as Yorkshire Centre members to ensure you do not miss out, given that the event is limited to 80 cars.
For those who may wish to have an overnight stay at the Linden Hall hotel, the discounted room rate for dinner B&B, and the booking code will be sent out with the acknowledgement of your entry.
